Know about the motherboard and its components (PCI slots, DIMM etc.) thoroughly
Know about the Interrupts, and I/O addresses well.
When you take any practice exam, it is likely that some answers are incorrectly marked. In such case, not only know the right answer but also research the answer and try to learn as much as possible.
If you get a question that appears to have more than one correct answer (and you still have to choose only ONE correct answer), choose the best possible answer.
If you don't know the answer for a question, try elimination method by eliminating the obvious wrong answers. (There are no negative marks as of now).
